After a gap of two years, the Madeira London Tasting is back – this time at the impressive Portuguese Embassy in Belgrave Square on Thursday June 6^th, hosted by the Madeira Wine Institute and open to press, members of the wine trade, sommeliers and restaurateurs

The generic event will feature wines from six of the top Madeira producers –  Barbeito, Blandy’s,  JMBorge,  Justino’s  and Pereira de Oliveira – in an informal ‘walk round’ setting. There will be the opportunity to taste, discuss and compare & contrast the various styles of this well-known but little understood wine region, perhaps one of the wine trade’s best kept secrets…….

In addition, the Institute’s Tasting Director Rubina Vieira will present a special seated one-hour Masterclass for enthusiasts on ‘Madeira – the winemakers’ signature’ from 2.30 and featuring rare wines from the producers’ own cellars. Places for this will be limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.
