New Member: Benjamin Roelfs

Originally trained as a sommelier, Benjamin Roelfs from Netherlands has seamlessly blended his passion for wine with his talent for writing. When he’s not immersed in his full-time role in the wine industry, he devotes his time to crafting thoughtful, insightful articles—primarily focused on Alsace, the region he knows best. His work has appeared in renowned publications such as The Drinks BusinessFalstaffJancis Robinson, and Trink.

Benjamin was also interviewed for a comprehensive book on the wines of France, contributing his expertise on Alsace. Currently, he is diligently working on his own book dedicated to the region.

In addition to his writing, Benjamin has contributed behind the scenes by assisting with data gathering and cleaning for Jancis Robinson’s Old Vine Registry, helping preserve the legacy of heritage vineyards.
