Elizabeth Gabay has worked in wine for 35 years, starting as an importer – moving on to education and consultancy. Passing the MW in 1998, she was somewhat overwhelmed by two children and the subsequent move to rural France in 2002. Since then, Elizabeth has continued as an educator for the IMW and Wine Scholar Guild, as a consultant and writer, specialising in the wines of southern France (Provence editor for The World Wine Atlas), Hungary and Slovakia.
In January 2018 she published Rosé: Understanding the pink wine revolution (Classic Wine Library) and now works with many regions where rosé is produced. She has written for numerous publications including Decanter, Meininger, The Buyer.
She is the President of the jury for the International Rosé Championship and is an international judge and speaker. In 2020 she started, with Sumita Sarma, #iloverocknrosé, Instagram live chats on rosé.
